There has been a late model FORD (Colorado plate 285 NUX) in front of my building, taking up 2 spots, for over a week now. There are no summons on the windshield and no city gov't placards, which can only mean the car is an impounded vehicle that the NYPD has just stuck carelessly. This is but one example of how the local police precinct could care less about the community they presumably are here to serve. There is enough problem with parking around here without these guys dumping cars, one in two spaces in this case, on our street and leaving it there for GOD knows how long. This exacerbates the other critical issue of hygiene - the street sweepers are rendered just about useless on this block. The garbage piles up. The rats multiply. Any attempt to get the 78 PCT. to respond has been useless. They usually don't even answer the phone.
9/21/2011 Filer of incident report states seeing rats recently on Dean, 6th and Pacific Streets. Sightings are at night and "pretty much on a daily basis."
