Trucks are now doing everything at the project site except what they are supposed to do.  There are two reasons for the problem:  
-The loss of capacity on Pacific Street between Vanderbilt and Carlton, first from construction staging and bridge construction, and now the putting in of the drainage pipes for the lot.

I watched from 11:30am until 1pm & no traffic agents!
Atlantic Yards / Arena construction workers' continue to hamper the community's efforts to control rats by having the street sweeper clean the streets of the food, trash and everything else the construction workers discard in the community after the arrive & sit in their cars in the morning, breaks, @ lunch & when they leave in the evening.

Lost not managed Barclays Arena vendor 18 wheeled tractor trailer parks & illegally idles then drives S. on 6th Ave turns left on (NOT A TRUCK ROUTE) Dean St then illegally parks in B65 bus stop.

Barclays 18 wheeled tractor trailer delivery trucks illegally idle next to residential building & block residents in because the drivers leave their trucks to find someone in Barclays Arena to help them! With the closure of the staging area 18 wheeled tractor trailers abound in the neighborhood! Other illegal trucks can barely pass to get thru to only to park further down & idle.

The attached number is for a complaint with DOB I filed Tuesday, but the problem is very bad again right now. The vibrations are shaking the house. To my knowledge no inspector showed up on Tuesday.

My stomach actually felt queasy the other day from the vibrations.

Since Monday, 8/27, our building has experienced severe vibrations and rattling due to heavy construction in lot 1129. THe integrity of our building is being jeopardized by the construction work. There is a disturbing level of noise too in addition to dust becoming airborne and affecting public health.

A driver abandoned a Tully truck idling on Pacific Street roughly across the street from the residences at 516 Carlton Avenue.  It was located next to the Carlton Avenue Bridge construction and a short distance from the Pacific Street gate on Carlton.
I did not wait to see when the driver returned and it was turned off, but I did wait around long enough to see that it was idling for more than 5 minutes.  NYC regulations allow only 3 minutes of idling.
 

Newly open 6th Ave bike riders & pedestrians on sidewalk gets a dusting from Barclays Arena work.
